Retta was united in holy matrimony to Jack Caesar July 27, 1911 in St. Mary Parish, Louisiana. To this union, five children were born.
Retta was a member of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church and served as the President of the Home Mission Society.
Retta passed away at her residence on Thursday, January 14, 1971 at 1:45 a.m. after a long illness.
Cherishing her memories are her son, Robert Louis Caesar (Esther); three daughters, Octavia "Tavia" Caesar-Hall, K. M. Caesar-Timmons (Norris), Ruby Caesar-Foreman (Furnice); 1 stepdaughter, Mary Caesar-Gray (Isaiah); sister, Maggie Williams (Abner, Sr.); 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
