John Wesley Homme, 74, of 20 North Pine Street, Ellsworth, died Wednesday, November 7, 1979, at 3:35 p.m. in his home.
He was born June 22, 1905, in Jeannette, a son of Joseph Eugene and Susan Hannah Kelly Homme.
He was a member of the Wesleyan Church of Bentleyville. He was employed by the Bethlehem Mines Corp., having retired in 1971. He was a member of UMW Local 1190 of Ellsworth.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Galtfelter Homme; five sons, John Homme of Wayne Township, Ohio; Thomas Homme of Lockport, N.Y., Franklin Homme of Nazareth, Kenneth Homme of Clearwater, Fla., and Howard Homme of Omaha, Neb.; seven daughters, Margaret Sanders of Laurel Md.; Viola, wife of James Munger of Fostoria, Ohio.; Rosemarie, wife of Edgar Wright of McKeesport; Faye, wife of Kenneth Ziegler of Souderton; Vivian Garzoli of Bentleyville; Joyce Teigh of Souderton; Judy, wife of Kenneth Hendricks of Telford; 36 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Raymond Eugene, who died October 23, 1976, and six sisters, including Edna Richardson, Garnet Lutton, and Ameila Blacka, and five brothers, including Frank and George Homme.
