GREENVILLE – William H. "Doc" Cone, 89, of Greenville, [FL] died Saturday in Gainesville.
The service will be 2 p.m. today at T. J. Beggs, Jr. & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Madison, with burial at Evergreen Cemetery [Greenville, FL].
He was a lifelong resident of Madison County, a farmer, World War I veteran and a member of New Macedonia Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Herbert Cone of Gainesville, "Johnnie" Cone [John Henry Cone, Sr.] of Greenville and James F. "Jim" Cone of Warner Robins, Ga; three daughters, Pauline Cone Lanier of Pheonix City, Ala, Estelle Cone Bailey of Lakeland, Ga., and Leola Mae Cone Sands of Greenville; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
