He was employed with Tri-County Elec. at the time of his death and had been with them since 1953. He was the son of William H. "Dock" Cone and Alice Hudson of Sundown Court in Madison Co., and the husband of Juanita Kinsey. They were the parents of four children: John H. Cone Jr., Jay Alan Cone, Jeffery William Cone and Justina Cone of Greenville, Fla.
He was known by most of the folks in the three counties that he served and was fondly known as "Johnnie". He served one enlistment in the Air Force immediately after graduating High School during the Korean War.
