Lila Alice Henry, 98, of Claremont, died at 2:15 p.m. Monday, December 27, 1999, at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with Rev. Gary B. Ryden officiating. Burial will be in Crest Haven Cemetery in Claremont. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Henry was born March 15, 1901 the daughter of Samuel Peter and Melvina (Houser) Bowers. She married Herschel Roy Henry September 30, 1922. He preceded her in death February 25, 1980.
She was a homemaker and was a member of Berryville Christian Church.
Mrs. Henry is survived by one son, Gordon Henry and his wife, Janet, of Claremont; two daughters, Darlene Fritschle and her husband, Ed, of Claremont and Frances Pasley, of Port Ludlow, Washington; 21 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Chester, one daughter, Elinor Boldrey, four sisters, two brothers, four grandsons, and one great-granddaughter.
