Long-time Lapel resident Rowena Moore died Tuesday, April 9, [1985] in Rolling Hills Nursing Home, Anderson. She was 90. Born in Hamilton County, Jan. 13, 1895, she was the daughter of Aaron and Amanda (Gaver) Stottlemyer. She lived in Lapel 60 years and in 1972 retired from Fisher Brothers Furniture after 20 years of employment. She was a 70-year member of Trinity United Methodist Church and for many years was a member of the Lapel American War Mothers.
Survivors are two daughters and a son: Mrs. Robert (Arlene) Patterson [Pettigrew], Lapel; Mrs. Donald (Betty) Huntzinger, Sarasota, FL; and William [Wilbur] Moore, Lapel. There are four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Fisher Brothers Funeral Home, Lapel, where friends may call tomorrow, 2-9 p.m. The Rev. Joseph Wagner will officiate and burial will be in Brookside Cemetery.
