Member of the Butler pioneer farming family. Ninth child of William Butler Jr. and Agnes Graham Davidson Butler. Husband to Ida Mae Stone Butler. Father to 13 children. Andrew married Ida Stone on February 19, 1895 at St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Sussex and together they established a dairy farm on Good Hope Road in 1901. They became parents to Benjamin Everett (1895-1896), Margaret (1897-1897), Agnes Elizabeth (1898-1979), Jane Butler (1899-1899), Isabelle Mae (1900-1975), Esther Jane (1903-1985), Emery Ludrick (1904-1995), Andrew Everett (1908-1939), Marjorie Ida (1909-1989), Matthew (1909-?), Robert Lafollet (1910-2001), Alice Eliza (1914-1984), and May Louise (1916-1916). His son Robert and daughter-in-law Rescella were the last Butlers on this land, with the demolition of the barn and house in 2014 after Rescella's death.
