Services will be held at 2 p.m. today from the Lamar First Church of the Nazerene for Ida Matilda King, 81.
Rev. Donald Strohmeyer officiated and burial was in Fairmount Cemetery.
Mrs. King died October 19 in Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Rocky Ford following an extended illness.
Born June 25, 1903 in Meta, Mo. Mrs. King came to Prowers county in 1968. She was married to Audra Cecil King, Nov. 24, 1921 in McClave. They farmed for many years in the Las Animas area. Her husband preceded Mrs. King in death June 3, 1964. At the time f his death, they were operating a laundry in Rocky Ford.
Mrs. King moved to Lamar in 1968 and remained in the area until health problems forced her to assume residency in the Pioneer Memorial Nursing Home in Rocky Ford last year.
Survivors include one son, Earl Cecil King of La Junta, three daughters, Virginia Henderson of Northglenn, Colo., Marilyn Keys of Parsons, Kans, and Carolyn Douglas, Fountain, Colo., and a sister Nellie Adamson of Springfield.
Twelve grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren also survive.
Dolsen Almont Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
