Van Ryn Ralph Leo Faribault Daily News 14/May/1991 Ralph L. Van Ryn, 79, of 635 SW Fifth Ave., died Sunday evening, May 12, in St. Lucas Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Immaculate Conception Church, Faribault, with the Rev. George Freeman, officiating. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today in Parker-Kohl Funeral Home and on Wednesday until the hour of services. The parish prayers will be recited at 5 p.m. today. Ralph Leo Van Ryn, the son of Henry and Mary VanBerkon Van Ryn, was born in Walcott Township, Rice County, on June 10, 1911. He married Irene Vermeersch on Dec. 28, 1932, in St. Lawrence Church, Faribault. Mr. Van Ryn had worked for many years at Wilson & Co., had operated Vans Produce in West Concord for 10 years and later had worked at the Rice County District One Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Irene; a son, Donald of Rochester; a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Pat) McGinnis of Faribault; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Adella Sterling, Veronica Van Ryn and Joanne Hansen, all of Austin; and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, August, John, Walter, George and Phillip; and two sisters, Josephine Michael and Marion Van Ryn.
