Following a 24 hour illness, caused by a stroke, Mrs Hattie Jane Watson Evans, 60, passed away at the Valley Hospital in Tremonton, Utah.

Hattie was born on November 25, 1888, in Syracuse, Utah, the daughter of John G and Elizabeth Bennett Watson. When still a small child the family moved to Layton, Utah, where she was raised and educated.

She married Alvin K Evans on November 19, 1907, in Layton, Utah. A few years later they received their endowments in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

In 1916 the family moved to Bothwell, Utah. She was an active member of the LDS Church and served as Secretary of the Relief Society for 4 years, Relief Society Magazine Agent for 5 years and worked as a business leader for 2 years.

Surviving are her husband, Bothwell, Utah; and four children: Wayne Evans, Bothwell, Utah; Mrs Lenora Anderson, Mrs Doris Session and Mrs Afton Koford, Garland, Utah; 13 grandchildren; 5 brothers and sisters: John and William Watson, Nampa; Parley Watson, Haggerman, Idaho; Mrs Nimmie Swa, Montepelier, Idaho; and Mrs Phillip Petersen, Morgan, Utah.

Burial was held in the Bothwell Cemetery, Bothwell, Utah.
