ST. GEORGE - Genelle Emily Bullock Hebdon, 72, passed away Friday, June 17, 2011. She was born August 2, 1938 in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada to Lyman Bullock and Nora Anderson Bullock. She married Truman R Hebdon, December 19, 1959 in Cardston Alberta Canada.

Genelle Hebdon was born and raised in Canada, then moved to Provo Utah where she attended Brigham Young University and graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing as a registered nurse. She met her husband of 50 years while attending school there and was very proud to be known as a housewife, actively raising her 6 children and serving in many church positions of leadership including Stake Primary President and Relief Society President. Truman's employment with the Church Educational System transferred them to Fillmore UT, BYU, Tucson AZ, Las Cruces NM, Mesa AZ for 17 years and Plant City FL for 10 years where she was always busy serving in many different capacities. After serving 2 church missions to Nauvoo Illinois and Warm Springs, Nevada they retired to St. George Utah. She loved people and love to be active; especially swimming, tanning, planning family activities, parties, music, organizing, having fun and attending any activity her kids were involved in.

She is survived by her spouse, Truman Hebdon of St. George, UT and 6 children and their spouses: Sherra & Bill Schupple of Washington, UT, Bobette & Mike McMullan of Leesburg, VA, JoD ONeal of Pleasant Grove, UT, Derk & Jeanie Hebdon of Highland, UT, Michelle Johnson of American Fork, UT, and Todd & Amy Hebdon of Queen Creek, AZ. Her posterity includes 27 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 1 pm with a viewing at 11am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel at Sun River: 4461 S. Country Club Dr., St. George Utah. Interment will take place in the Enterprise Utah Cemetery.
