Note: Although she went by "Annie" her given name at birth was Anne or Ane.
The spelling of "Neilson" is debatable; Anne's parents and siblings, Niels, Hyrum, Annie Johanna, and Mary Sophia spell it "Nielsen". Her brother John Peter has "Neilsen" on his headstone. (yet John Peter's children spelled it Nielsen.) And her brother Joseph Christian spelled it Neilson. Technically speaking "son" would indicate of Swedish ancestry, while "sen" was more typical of Danish.

MRS. JOHN REDD GOES TO REWARD

The death of Mrs. John Redd was one of the most severe shocks the residents of Price and vicinity have had for many months. When the news quickly spread last Saturday morning everyone hesitated to believe it and expressions of sorrow and of sympathy for the husband left with five small children were heard on every hand. Annie Cecelia Neilson was born in Castle Dale on Feb 10, 1884. Her father was Neils Neilson who passed away some years ago. All her life was spent in Emery county until her marriage and removal to Price with her husband, about 12 years ago. Her married life has been one of devotion to her children and her home. Three boys and two girls have been born and all are living. The oldest boy is 10 years of age and the youngest a babe of but a week. The care and training of these little ones has been the mothers greatest regard but she always continued a faithful member of the church. Funeral services were held in the tabernacle Monday afternoon with touching address by President A. W. Horsley, Bishop Albert Bryner and Elder Milton Olsen of Emery. All eulogized highly the life of the decedent. Besides the children and husband, Mrs. Redd leaves several brothers and sisters in Emery county. Most of them, with hosts of friend, were in Price for the list rites. The tabernacle was crowded with sorrowing friends and the heart of the entire community goes out to the bereaved.
