Nichols - Mrs. Louvinia Collins Ford, 85, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2008 at Marion County Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Horry County, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Patrick Henry Collins and Mattie Jane Lewis. She was predeceased by her husband, William Gary Ford Sr.; and a son, William Gary Ford Jr.
Mrs. Collins is survived by one daughter, Carolyn (Mickey) Atkins of Whiteville, N.C.; and a daughter-in-law, Laura Ford of Nichols; four sisters, Corene McCain and Dorothy Aitken of Columbia, Nancy Norton of Santee, and Pat Garrett of Mullins; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2008 at Meares Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2008 in Riverside Cemetery, Nichols.
