Mr. Gebhart served four years in the United States Navy and lived in California for 53 years. He was a self-employed plumbing and air conditioning contractor, built furniture and was also a photographer. When living in Zanesville, he was a member of the Apostolic Gospel Church.
He leaves behind his wife, Eiline; three daughters, Mary Lyne, Karen and Shelley; three sons-in-law; five grand-children; seven sisters, Ruby Ethell of Zanesville, Janet Smith of South Zanesville, Evelyn Wilson of White Cottage, Esther Fields of Zanesville, Shirley Wheeler of Zanesville, Doris Godwin of Canton, Julieanne Gilreath of Zanesville and a brother, Jerry Gebhart of Zanesville.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Carl and Eva Gebhart; two brothers, Herman Gebhart of Lewisville and Edwin Gebhart of Zanesville, and two sisters, Lavone Bartlett Marple of South Zanesville and Eleanor Black of Zanesville.
