Pansy L. Cleary, 83, of Grant Street, Niles, died at 1:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, 2007, at Silverbrook Manor, Niles.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, at Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles with Kevin Greenlee, minister of First Church of Christ, Niles, officiating.

Burial will be in Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, Niles.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

She was born on July 7, 1924, in Niles to Cleveland Hipshier and Margaret Horner. She was a lifetime resident of Niles.

Cleary was a former employee of Simplicity Pattern Company in Niles. She was a member of the First Church of Christ, Niles, and its sewing circle.

On Jan. 22, 1922, in Niles, she married Avon E. Cleary, who died Nov. 23, 1987.

She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Corwin C. Cleary, who died in 1999; five sisters, Dorothy Seals, Catherine Bowerman, Fentalene Harrell, Betsy Vandygriff and Orletta Hipshier; and three brothers, Happy, Jack and Lester Hipshier.

She is survived by a daughter, Laura Cleary of Niles, four sons; Avon Cleary of south Bend, Ind., Dr. Cleveland Charles Cleary of Granger, Ind., William Cleary of Niles and Louis Cleary of Granger, Ind.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step-great grandchldren and two sisters, Myrtle Shepardson and Irene Leamon, both of Niles.

Memorials may be made to the First Church of Christ.
