Lake E. Rariden, Attorney and World War Veteran
Lake E. Rariden, well known in Greenfield from frequent visits here, died Saturday morning at his home in Fort Wayne, where he had been a successful attorney many years.
Mr. Rariden was 45 years old, a veteran of the World war, wounded in action with the Marines, a brother of Dr. Lawrence B. Rariden, this city, and of Wilford Rariden, near Fort Wayne.
Beside the brothers. Mr. Rariden is survived by the widow, Nedaline Rariden, a daughter, Patricia, age 8, and his father, James A. Rariden.
The funeral will take place at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon in the Scottish Rite Cathedral in Fort Wayne.

LAKE RARIDEN CHOSEN HEAD OF THE PURPLE HEART
FORT WAYNE. Ind., June 28 (UP) Lake E. Rariden, of Fort Wayne, was chosen State commander of the military order of Purple Heart at a second annual encampment here yesterday afternoon. He succeeds Fred K. Alyles, Indianapolis. These officers were also elected: Senior vice-commander, Charles Depka, Indianapolis; Junior vice-commander, Jesse Eier-mann, Indianapolis; finance officer, Fred Briel. Indianapolis; historian, Nick Boulos. Fort Wayne; judge advocate. George Kingery, Fort Wayne; welfare officer; Frank Moritz, Fort Wayne; sergeant-at-arms, Leo Woltring, Indianapolis; and chaplain, Robert Alley, Indianapolis. Rariden appointed Harry Reinchield. Auburn, adjutant; Harry Wells, Indianapolis, chief of staff, and Clifford E. Riggs, Indianapolis, inspector.
Mr. Rariden is a brother of Dr. L. B. Rariden, of this city.
