James A. Rariden, 85, died last night at the home of a son, Wilford Rariden, in Hicksville, Ohio. The deceased was a former resident of Bedford, having left here about 35 years ago. He was born in Bedford on February 19, 1862, the son of Zimri and Elizabeth McDonald Rariden. He married Nancy Jane Tow and to this union three children were born, two of whom survive. They are Dr. L. B. Rariden of Greenfield, Indiana, and Wilford Rariden. Lake E. Rariden, a third son, died in 1939. Local surviving relatives include a cousin, Mrs. J. A. Gunn; a nephew, Henry Rariden, and a niece; Mrs, Charles Richardson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at Hicksville.
