Funeral services celebrating the life of Sybil Tebeau Adams, 87, will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday June 18, 2011 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Gary Boswell. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2011 at the funeral home. Sybil was born on September 29, 1923 in Springfield, GA to John Robert Tebeau and Sybil Hinely Tebeau. Surrounded by her loved ones she went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at the Grace Home. She was a resident, mother and homemaker of Shreveport. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Ingleside Baptist Church and for the past 6 years, Westview Christian Church. The family will always cherish the memories of their wonderful Mother who saw good in everyone who crossed her path. She welcomed everyone into her home with a smile, a meal, and open arms. Mom left a legacy of strength, faith in God, and a kind heart. Preceding her in death were her parents, her beloved husband, LeRoy S. Adams and her brothers and sisters. Left to cherish the loving memories of her are Robert Adams (Mary), Richard Adams (Linda), Anne Foster (Ken), Lisa Cooper (Randy), Denise Mayfield (Dean) and Mark Adams; grandchildren, Michael Adams (Jessica), David Adams, Lori Whisenhunt (John), Amy Briggs (Robbie), Troy Ramey, Erica Ramey, Ryan Ramey, Zachary Mayfield, Shelbi Adams; 7 great-grandchildren and a great-granddaughter due in August. Pallbearers will be Michael Adams, David Adams, Troy Ramey, Ryan Ramey, Zachary Mayfield and John Whisenhunt. Honorary Pallbearer is Robbie Briggs The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all the staff at Grace Home, Dr. Gary Williams and all the caregivers that have been there during her illness. In lieu of flowers the family wishes you to consider donations to the Grace Home. As Mom always said "Te Amo" Latin for "I Love You."
