A holy rosary will be recited at 7 PM today at the Thompson Funeral Home. The funeral will be Friday with a time to be announced at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church with Father Donald Levernier officiating. Burial will be in the Screven County Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson was a native of Springfield and lived in Sylvania for more than 35 years. She attended Effingham County Schools and was a graduate of Newberry College, Newberry, SC. She was a retired school teacher in the Screven County school system and a member of the Retired Teachers Association, the Azalea Garden Club and Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church.
Survivors include a son, Leo Edmund Thompson, Jr., Sylvania; three sisters, Clara Beatrice Tebeau, Springfield, Mrs. Leighton Harden, Savannah and Sybil Adams, Shreveport, LA; and three brothers, R. T. Tebeau, Sylvania and Otis Tebeau and Ernest Tebeau, Springfield.
