Herald Coaster, February 19, 1968:

Funeral services for Jerry Dobesh, 67, of Route 1, Richmond, were scheduled at 2 p.m. today at St. Paul Presbyterian Church in Needville with Rev. Richard Avery officiating. Burial was to be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Rosenberg.

Mr. Dobesh, who moved to Fort Bend County about 1911, died Saturday night in Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital. He farmed in the Fairchilds community until retiring in 1962.

Survivors include a son, Rev. Leal Dobesh of Gainesville; two sisters, Mrs. August Kovar and Mrs. Ben Wolf, both of Rosenberg; two brothers, Ludwig Dobesh of Beasley and Adolph Dobesh of Needville; and three grandchildren.

Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Rosenberg. Funeral services were under the direction of Garmany & Co. Funeral Directors.

Funeral services for Jerry Dobesh, 67, of Route 1, Richmond, were held at 2 p.m. Monday in St. Paul Presbyterian Church in Needville with Rev. Richard Avery, pastor of the church, officiating.

Mr. Dobesh passed away Saturday night in Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital. He moved to Fort Bend County about 1911 and farmed in the Fairchilds community until his retirement in 1962.

Mr. Dobesh married the former Freda Moench of the Fairchilds community.

Survivors include a son, Rev. Leal Dobesh of Gainesville; two sisters, Mrs. August Kovar and Mrs. Ben Wolf, both of Rosenberg; two brothers, Ludwig Dobesh of Beasley and Adolph Dobesh of Needville; and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers were August Teykl, Louis Teykl, Albert Bryson, Frank Vacek, Robert Myska and Louis Svec.
