Joseph Dobesh passed away Sunday morning May 13, at the John Sealy Hospital in Galveston. He reached the age of 55 years, 3 months and 6 days. He was born on the 7th day of February, 1896, in Moravia, Czechoslavakia. His parents left the old country and came to Texas and lived in different countries, being engaged in farming. In 1910 they moved to Fort Bend county and settled in the Fairchild Community. Joe helped his parents in farming. He quit farming five years ago to work in the Thompsons oil field.
On January 16, 1949, he married Mrs. Grace Janeck and they made their home in Rosenberg. Joe didn't feel well since 1940 and had to seek doctor's help. But his sickness grew worse and on May 7th he entered the John Sealy Hospital where he died last Sunday. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Grace Dobesh of Rosenberg; four brothers, Jerry and Ludwig of Richmond, Adolph and Louis or Needville; three sisters, Mrs. Emily Wolf and Mrs. Frances Wolf of Rosenberg and Mrs. Julia Kovar of Booth; other relatives and friends. His parents and two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
