George B. Jenkins, 81, of Vienna, died early Saturday morning, May 8. at his residence. Born in Ritchie County, a son of the late James M. and Myrtle Easton Jenkins, he was for 49 years employed at Univeral Glass, retiring in 1968. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Vienna and the Junior Order of the United American Mechanics. Survivors include his wife, Ethel Deem Jenkins; two sons, Fred Deem and James Jenkins, both of Vienna; two daughters, Mary L. Pitts of Vienna and Nancy Eaton of Parkersburg; a brother Raymond Jenkins of Vienna; a sister Mabel Deem of Boaz; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, five brothers and five sisters. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Vaughan Funeral Home. The Rev. Perry Stewart and the Rev. J.D. Shaffer officiated and burial was in the Mount Olivet Cemetery.
