Monson and Apache Junction, AZ - Bernard Arthur Crabtree, 86, passed away November 30, 2022, in Arizona. He was born in Dover-Foxcroft on April 9, 1936, the son of Edmund Henry and Florence Mae (Merrill) Crabtree.

Bernard and his good friend, Bob Ladd, owned and operated Lorain Trucking for many years. Then he worked as a park ranger at Baxter State Park for nearly 25 years. He owned an antique shop in Monson, and had a love for buying and selling antiques. He retired in Apache Junction, Arizona, where he loved the access to the many beautiful places to hike.

He was pre-deceased by his parents; his wife of 34 years, Alice Willey Crabtree; step-daughters, Joy Gilbert and Pat Harrington; step-granddaughters, Gwen Geiger and Robin Gilbert; niece, Sarah Ann Crabtree Owen; and great-nephew, Jeffrey Owen.

He is survived by his fiancé and partner, Kathy Thorsen, who made his life special for the last fifteen years; brother, Duane Edmund and his wife, Sayoko (Matsumoto) Crabtree; great- grand-niece, Jestina Sarah Owen; sister, Eunice and husband, Ralph Gulliver; niece, Carol Gulliver Hilton; great-nephews, Tyler and Garrett Hilton; stepson, Michael Gilbert; step-daughters, Kathy Geiger, Bonnie Page, and Julie Harrington; and several step-grandchildren.
