Family notes: Mother Jemima Rose is a dau. of Gotlieb/Godlove Rose of Germany, and sister to Capt. Lewis Rose who served in Rev. war. She also had brothers Matthias and Martin Rose, also Rev. War soldiers. The family was of Va., Bedford Co., Pa., and then to Bullitt Co., Ky.
