She was a life-long resident of Adams County and was president of the Ladies Bible class of St. John Lutheran Church for 20 years.
Prior to her marriage in 1909, Mrs. Sanders taught at Miney Branch School, a one-room schoolhouse in Liberty Twp.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Sanders is survived by seven children: Mrs. A. Bernice Lott Walker, Mechanicsburg: Harvey G., Fairfield R.1; Guy M., Fairfield R.2; Mrs. Kenneth "Mabert" Sanders, Fairfield; Mrs. John "Ethel" Grace Herse, Baltimore, Md.; Wayne E., St. Petersburg, Florida; Mrs. Leo "Janice" Murphy, Eagle, Michigan; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Eyler, Michael Manor, and Mrs. Clara Brown, Lincoln Estates, Rt.30 West, 31 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
