James Edward Webster died at his home at Gray's Crossing [North Line Road, Saratoga County] on Saturday [18 July] evening at 11:30 o'clock after a year's illness. Mr. Webster was conducting a laundry at Ticonderoga when condition became such he could not work so the family returned to their home in this village.
He was born in this village, August 22, 1871, being 64 years of age. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church. He was a member of the Odd Fellows being affiliated with the lodge in Newark [New Jersey] where he resided for a number of years.
Besides his wife he leaves 3 sons, William Webster, of this village, Kenneth of Troy, and George of Vanetton; also a sister, Mrs. Katherine Conklin and a brother, Osborn Webster, both of this village and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the home on Tuesday [21 July] at 2:30 o'clock, the Rev. William H. Garth, resident rector, to officiate. Burial in the village cemetery.
