William Allison Fitzgerald, 64, a native of Forest County, died at 7:15 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 16, 1942, in the Veterans Hospital at Coatesville, PA. He went to the Aspinwall Hospital in March, 1941, and to the Coatesville Hospital in June, 1941, where he had been a patient since, with the exception of four months spent at East Hickory last fall.

He was a son of John Leonard and Zynthia Moore Fitzgerald and was born at Troutman, Forest County, November 24, 1877. He served in the first World War, being a member of the forestry branch of the service for two years.

Surviving are the following brothers and sisters: John E. Fitzgerald of Mayburg; Mrs. William Hottel of Brookville; and Mrs. Ralph Reardon and Fred Fitzgerald of East Hickory. He is also survived by three half-sisters, Mrs. Geary Bean and Mrs. Marian Carlson of Warren and Miss Fern Fitzgerald of Philadelphia.

The body was brought to the Haslet Funeral Home in Tionesta and funeral services in his memory were conducted at 2:30 o'clock, Saturday afternoon in the East Hickory Methodist Church, with the Rev. H. M. Stevenson of Tidioute, the pastor, officiating. Interment was made in the East Hickory Cemetery.
