Called "Mamie" by her family, even her grandchildren, Ida Myrtle was a daughter of John Leonard Fitzgerald & his first wife, Cynthia Moore Fitzgerald. She was the wife of William Wallace Hottel. At the time of her death, she was reported to have 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was the direct descendant of Revolutionary War soldier and Irish immigrant, John Fitzgerald.
