During the Korean War, he served with the U. S. Army, returning to Douglas in 1952. He went into business with his two brothers in Doug's Super Service from 1953 to the mid-1960s, and also worked for the United States Post Office. He retired in the early 1970s. At the time of his death Mr. Anthony was involved with managing his rental property in the Douglas Area.
He was a member of the Ashlar Masonic Lodge No. 10 AF&AM where he was a past master and grand master for the state. He was also a member of Shrine Korein Temple in Rawlins, Wyoming; a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars; and a 22-year member of Disabled American Veterans.
His membership also included 41 years with the Samuel Mares American Legion Post No. 8, Wyoming Pioneer Association and the United States Horse Cavalry Association.
He died August 12, 1992 at the home of his brother in Loveland, Colorado, following a sudden illness.
Survivors included his brother, Rick J. Anthony of Loveland; an aunt, an numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Doug.
