She is preceded in death by her father Jefferson McBurnett, and siblings Minnie Carroll, Bart McBurnett, Bud McBurnett, Nick McBurnett, Neal McBurnett, Cleve McBurnett and Lois Frierson.
She is survived by her loving husband William Cullen Rutland of Corpus Christi; son Robert Cullen Rutland of Austin, Texas; son McBurnett Rutland of Caracas, Venezuela; a brother, Lee McBurnett of Robstown, Texas; a second brother, D.M. McBurnett of Corpus Christi; sister, Bea Britton of Robstown; sister Laura Massey of Robstown; sister Fannie Carroll of Rockdale, Texas; and four grandchildren.
