Ersa Jones, 84, of Olney, died at Richland Memorial Hospital at 6:25 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 3, 1989. Services in the Memorial Chapel of Summers Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Logan presiding. Burial in Crest Haven Cemetery.
Mrs. Jones was born in Coles County Sept. 21, 1904 the daughter of Elza and Dora (Deverick) Ingram. She married Herman E. Jones on Feb. 16, 1924 in Vincennes, Ind. and he died July 14, 1989.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one daughter Margo Bieri of Olney; three sisters, Mrs. Effie Correll of Bridgeport, Mrs. Callie Nichols of Olney and Mrs. Ralph (Hollice) Hill of Olney, several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters.
