Brother of Blairite Is Killed As Tractor Upsets IN Field
Albert W. Petersen, 50, former countian and a brother of Henry Petersen, Blair barber, was instantly killed last Wednesday when his tractor upset into a ravine while he was cultivating corn at his farm northwest of Tekamah. The body was found several hours after the accident.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the home followed at 2:30 o'clock by services at the Rose Hill Methodist Church near Herman, interment taking place in Rose Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Paul Wiegman, Tekamah Lutheran minister officiated.
Mr. Petersen, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. N. H. Petersen, was born near Herman March 12, 1891. He was married February 11, 1914, to Miss Katie Peterson, and to them were born two sons and five daughters, all of whom survive their father.
Surviving him are the wife, Katie; two sons, Harland and Lloyd; five daughters, Lois, Betty; Ruth and Mary Alice, all at home, and Mrs. Roy Plummer, Tekamah; two brothers, Henry of Blair and Nels of Decatur; four sisters; Mrs. Albert Christensen of Randall, Minnesota, Mrs. Morris Christensen of Herman, Mrs. Peter Anderson of Herman and Mrs. Walter Wachter of Rosalie.
