She married in 1931 to Robert (Bob) Boyer in Anderson, IN, who worked at the Anaconda Wire Co. who retired in June 1962 then moved to New Mexico because of arthritis and the warmer climate. Robert passed away in 1984. Edna died in Deming, NM on Dec. 21, 2004 at the age of 99 years 4 months 14 days. She is survived by her brother Henry, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. She had a great capacity to accept people and love them for who they were and not try to change them. She would give advice but not change them. She loved to cook at home for the family, was a devoted wife, and Republican. She remembered Christmas at home on the farm in Indiana, working hard in the fields, and not having much. Receiving Christmas gifts of bags of peanuts and oranges for the children. She was an avid reader and had an extensive personal library. Over the years, she has survived cancer and a heart attack. She loved to knit, crochet, do needlework, paint and make sweaters for relatives and friends. Her home was decorated with her paintings. Her husband asked her what kind of car she would like and she commented on a Cadillac. So one day he brought home a brand new Cadillac coupe, "kind of sporty looking" when asked about it, she replied "I love it". When she got married she borrowed a wedding ring from a friend and almost left the friends house with the ring. She lived a long life and will be remembered by those who knew her.
