TOMPKINS, LOMA ACRES – 49, of Rugby, Tenn., passed away at the Fentress County Hospital in Jamestown, Monday, Feb. 15 after an illness of two months, a member of the West Oneida Baptist Church. Survivors: husband, OVID TOMPKINS of Rugby, one daughter, Mrs. CARL CROMWELL of Somerset, Ky., six brothers, MILFORD ACRES of Macon, Ga., AUDNEY ACRES of Oneida, ALTON ACRES of Perry, Ga., LLOYD ACRES of Oak Ridge, Tenn.., SILAS ACRES of Rome City, Ind., ARGIE ACRES of Amelia, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. BENTON JONES of Oneida, Mrs. JOSEPH DAVIS of Oneida; two grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from the West Oneida Baptist Church Wednesday, Feb. 17, with the Rev. LELAND TOMPKINS officiating. Burial followed in the Armathwaite Cemetery. Pallbearers were, JOHNNIE ACRES, HOYAL ACRES, AUDIS ACRES, DOYLE ACRES, ROBBIE ACRES, and NORMAN ACRES. West Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
