One of two daughters of Joseph Sommerville and his first wife whose name is unknown at this time. She was born in Chambersburg, Pa. the family moved to Martinsburg somewhere around 1779. In 1794 Joseph and his 2nd wife Elizabeth Faulkner moved the family to Clarksburg, Va. (then).
In 1796 Sarah married Stephen Morgan in Clarksburg, Va. (then). Sarah was the mother of 10 children.
