Obituary
John W. Cremer of 380 North Sixth Avenue died at his residence Tuesday night*. The funeral will be held from the Phillips & Friday Funeral Home on Saturday at 2 pm, the Rev. David Creighton officiating. Mr. Cremer was born in Yellowhead Township on March 21, 1854, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeremiah Cremer. for 20 years he was in the employ of the New York Central Railroad in the water service department. for 10 years he was city engineer of Momence. He has been a resident of Kankakee 15 years. He is survived by his widow and one son, H. E. Cremer, who resides in Kankakee; two sisters, Mrs. Wallace Hess of Momence and Mrs. Ellen Ohm of Elmwood, NE; three brothers, Grant of Grant Park; Frank of West Frankfort, and Isaiah of Eagle, NE. The body will be at the Phillips & Friday Funeral Home until the time of the funeral. Mr. Cremer was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Momence, the Royal Arch Masons and the Knight Templar lodges in Kankakee and of the M.W.A. in Momence. The funeral services will be under the direction of the Masonic orders.
