Mrs. Minnie Cremer, 78, of 380 North Sixth Avenue, mother of Herbert E. Cremer, head clerk of the county rationing board, died at her residence Wednesday night following a short illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today from the Phillips, Friday and Schreffler Funeral home with burial in Mound Grove cemetery.
The deceased was the wife of the late John W. Cremer who served for many years before his death in 1930 as an employee of the water service department of what is now known as the New York Central railroad.
Mrs. Cremer was born May 9, 1867 in Momence and came to Kankakee while she was still a child. In 1890 she was married to Mr. Cremer in Momence.
A member of the Methodist church she is survived by her son, Herbert, and a brother, Stephen L. Wheeler.
