Third of five children of William & Amelia WITT WINTER, she married Theodore "Tate" Meyer 27 Jan 1909 in Sibley, IL. They had five children and six grandchildren.

Their fourth child, a daughter, was still-born. Her stone is found in the plot with Minnie's parents. Their oldest, Carl Martin W. Meyer, was killed 5 Jun 1942 in an explosion at an ammunition factory near Wilmington, IL during WW II. His remains were never found, but he was celebrated as a war hero.

Tate & Minnie farmed near Strawn until retirement in 1949. Minnie was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran church in Sibley, IL.
