By June 1, 1830, they resided in Hall County, Georgia.
By 1850, they were enumerated as 'AUTWELL' and were residing in District 28 of Benton County, Alabama, and by April 6, 1860, 'James OTWELL' 'born, [1790] North Carolina' was last enumerated living in Arbacoochee, Township 16, Range 12, Calhoun County, Alabama with his living wife, Mary, and four minor children, of which two, Cristabulis OTWELL, age 13, and Mary Susan OTWELL, age 8, may have been grandchildren.
We are direct lineal descendants of this family and actively research their intermarriages and research their collateral families. Our research on this family remains active, current and changes as we verify and document.
