Sallie Woodcock Smith, 90, died early Sunday at her residence after a long illness. Mrs. Smith was a native of Bulloch County and had lived in Statesboro all of her life. She graduated from Statesboro High School and the Georgia Normal College of Statesboro. She was a member of the Statesboro Women's Club and Pineland Garden Club. She was also a member of the Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Horace Zack Smith, Hilton Head Island, S.C. and W. R. (Bobby) Smith, Statesboro; one daughter, Betty Jennings, Gainsville; two sisters, Bertie Lee McElveen, Sylvania, Nita Woodcock Prather, Statesboro; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service for Mrs. Smith will be tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church with the Elder W. H. Durrance and the Elder T. Roe Scott officiating. Burial will be in the Eastside Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. The body will remain in the residence at 314 Savannah Avenue until the funeral hour. Smith-Tillman Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
