Norma Fisher Thornton, 77, of Liverpool, died Sunday at University Hospital.
She was born in Charleston, W.Va., and lived in Albany 22 years before moving to Liverpool in 1963.
Mrs. Thornton was an Army Corps of Nursing veteran of World War II. She was a member of the Clay VFW Post.
Her husband, Edward J. Jr., died in 1987.
Surviving are two sons, Edward J. III of Liverpool and William J. of Jacksonville, Fla.; three brothers, Clark Fisher of Clendenin, W.Va., Dr. Vernon Fisher of Gustine, Calif., and Eugene Fisher of Malta, Ohio; two sisters, Naomi Cobb of Pinch, W.Va., and Annabelle Dawson of Charleston, W.Va.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Welter-Price Funeral Home, the Rev. Frank L. Thomas officiating. Burial is in White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt.
Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 2649 James St.
