Mrs. Judy Belle Thompson, 91, of Mt. Vernon, died Friday, October 21, at the Rockcastle County Hospital.

She was born in Lincoln County on December 13, 1892. The daughter of the late John Harvey Brown and Nannie Southern and was a member of the Mt. Vernon Nazarene Church.

She is survived by: one son, Sherman Thompson of Route 1, Brodhead; six daughters, Mrs. Elvera Elder of Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Mae Phelps of Crawfordsville, Indiana, Mrs. Opal Hamm of Richmond, Indiana, Mrs. Martha Sweet of Liberty, Indiana, Mrs. Mary Weaver of Frankfort, Indiana and Mrs. Marie Alcorn of Route 1, Brodhead; one brother, Otis Brown of Yuma, Arizona; three sisters, Mrs. Fannie Bowling of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Mollie Hamm of Mason Ohio and Mrs. Ellie Gentry of Route 1, Brodhead; 26 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and several great, great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 24, at the Dowell and Martin Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Ray Gillespie.

Bural was in the Ottawa Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Charles Thompson, Jay Thompson, Bob Phelps, Lee Price, Earl Price and Charles Roy Thompson.
