George is the son of David & Elizabeth (Shonk) Sheer.

He married Ollie Mae Duling February 5, 1899.

Father of 10 children; 5 of which died in infancy/childhood.

Grandfather to:

1. Lloyd Edwin Shear.
2. Merle LaMax Shear.
3. Paul Dean Shear (my father).
~*~*~*~*~

One of dad's favorite memories of his grandfather that he giggles about is something he said in response to Ollie's nagging him about the pair of black pants that he wore weekly to church. He wore the same pair every week and one day Ollie said, "People are going to get tired of seeing you wear those same pair of pants all the time." George responded, "If they don't like these pants then they don't have to look at them!!". :o)
