Mr Burrowes was a veteran of WW II and had been a patient at Fort Harrison for about three months.
He is survived by three sisters: Mrs Homer Bailey of Polson; Mrs Fannie Bowling of Plentywood; and Mrs Emma Hull, Chicago, Il; two brothers Wilber Burrowes, Polson and Walter Burrowes of Garnett, KS and several nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers were grand-nephews: Jim Burrowes, Jim Bailey, Jerry Benson and Roger Targerson of Polson; and Chuck Jennison and Johnny Cook of Ronan.
