Eden Burrowes Dies in Hinsdale
Once again the grim reaper claimed a resident of the Genevieve Community, Eden Burrowes. Mr. Burrowes and his wife have made their home in the vicinity for several years, where they have made many friends. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen Lodge, in which he was actively interested. Being of a general (genial?) nature he was always cheerful and willing to help will any entertainment or good time, and an old fashioned song was the joy of his heart. A number of is children visited him recently and two daughters and a son reside in the community.
The deceased had been in failing health for about a month, and was finally removed to Hinsdale to be under the care of Dr. Cockrell. Altho everything was done to save his life, he gradually failed until the end came Sunday morning. Mrs. Burrowes and one son from Kansas, which was their former home were with him at the time of his death. Other members of the family were notified and left for Hinsdale at once. The funeral will be from the Methodist Church at Hinsdale, and the remains will be laid to rest in the cemetery at Jordon Coalee (Coulee) not far from their home.
