Melba Irene Ates, age 94 of Milton, passed away on Wednesday, May 04, 2011.
She was born on Feb 03, 1917 in Wright, Florida to the late Joseph and Nancy Rogers .
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rev. James A. Ates; son, Milton Ates; and grandson, Timothy B. Ates.
Melba is survived by son, James B. (Cheramy) Ates; daughter, Diane (Guy) Mosley; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; brother, Claude Rogers; sister, Bernice Ates; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Saturday, May 07, 2011 at 2:00pm at the Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel, with Rev. Joey Rogers, officiating. Burial will follow in the Crain Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
Active pallbearers: Steve Rogers, Mike Rogers, Brent Ates, Jason Ates, Donnie Rogers, Andy Peaden, Buddy McLean, Presley Rogers, Bryan Ates, and David Crotts.
