FORMER PROVOAN DIES IN CALIFORNIA
Glade Ahlstrom, 52, former Provo resident, died Wednesday at his home in Van Nuys, Calif., of a heart condition.
He was born July 7, 1911 at Tropic, a son of Frank and Rose Riggs Ahlstrom. He received his education in Tropic schools and attended West High School in Salt Lake City. He moved to Los Angeles, Calif., and was employed by the North American Aircraft Co. He entered the U. S. Navy, received a medical discharge and came to Provo and worked for Geneva Steel. He also resided in Vernal and Salt Lake. In 1947 he returned to Van Nuys, Calif. and since that time had been employed as desk clerk at the Van Nuys Hotel. He was a member of the LDS Church.
Surviving are two brothers and one sister, W. Floyd Ahlstrom, Reseda, Calif.; Mrs. Ray (Reva) Davenport, Salt Lake City; and Dwane Ahlstrom, Provo.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel. Bishop Arland Olson of the River Grove Second Ward will officiate. Friends may call at the mortuary Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday prior to services. Interment will be in the Provo City Cemetery.
