Pearl M. Miller, 93, of Woodstock, Virginia passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal.

The funeral will be held Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Woodstock United Methodist Church. Reverend David Rash will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock.

Mrs. Miller was born April 26, 1918 in Strasburg, Virginia, daughter of the late Mary Frances Ritenour Williams and Bedford Henry Williams.

She graduated from Strasburg High School and was formerly employed at Hecht's Dept Store in Washington, D.C., American Visco in Front Royal and Ben Franklin in Woodstock. She was a member of Woodstock United Methodist Church and the Adult Sunday School Class. She was an active member of the church especially with the shut-in members.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Miller; brothers, Earl D. Williams and his wife Mary, Francis Williams and Leon Williams; sister, Lucy Ellen; sisters-in-law, Clara Lee Miller, Helen M. Leavel and her husband Harold W. Leavel; and brothers-in-law, Walter Sibert and George Laughlin.

Surviving are daughters, Karen Louderback and her husband Jerry of Strasburg and Mary Ann Miller of Woodstock; grandson, Brian Louderback of Alexandria; sisters, Nina Sibert of Winchester and Thelma Laughlin of Front Royal; brothers, Billy Williams and his wife Betty of Middletown, MD and Jimmy Williams and his wife Lila of Woodstock; sister-in-law, Mildred Purcell of Brucetown; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Louderback, Brian Louderback, Bill Decker, Jimmy Williams, Billy Willliams and Walter Sibert Jr.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Woodstock United Methodist Church.

Pearl was a loving and caring person as well as a wonderful mother and grandmother, who enjoyed her cards, flowers and especially talking to people. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
