Nina Williams Sibert, 91, of Winchester, died Tuesday, September 24, 2013 in a local nursing home.

She was born February 8, 1922 in Strasburg, VA the daughter of Bedford and Mary Ritenour Williams.

She was married to Walter Earl Sibert who is deceased. They were married for 54 years.

Mrs. Sibert had worked for American Viscose.

She was a member of the Kernstown United Methodist Church where she was active with the choir and various committees including the bereavement lunch committee. She also taught Sunday school for over 25 years and was a youth leader.

Surviving are two daughters, Sandra S. Keiter of Winchester and Linda S. Dillow and her husband Lester of Richmond; a son, Walter E. "Bucky" Sibert, Jr. and his wife Carolyn of Clear Brook; two brothers, James Williams of Woodstock and Billy Williams of Middletown, MD; a sister, Thelma Laughlin of Front Royal; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

Three brothers, Francis Williams, Earl Williams and Leon Williams and one sister, Pearl Miller are deceased.

A funeral service will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Kernstown United Methodist Church with Rev. W. Clay Knick officiating.

Entombment will follow in Shenandoah Memorial Park.

Casket bearers will be Monte Keiter, Chris Keiter, Tim Schott, Wes Sibert, Jim Jacobsen and Gene Rickard.

Friends will be received on Friday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in Phelps Funeral Chapel, 311 Hope Drive, Winchester.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kernstown United Methodist Church, 3239 Valley Pike, Winchester, VA 22602.
