Mrs. Ophie Stearman, daughter of the late Mr. Bawsley Whitlow and Mrs. Tillia Ackridge Whitlow, was born December 15, 1904 in Green County and departed this life Friday, June 24, 1994 in the Green Hill Manor Nursing Home in Greensburg. She was 89 years, 6 months and 14 days of age.
She united in marriage to Mr. Thomas Stearman, who preceded her in death November 10, 1986. To this union was born one son: Arvil Stearman, Campbellsville.
Mrs. Stearman is also survived by one brother Lonnie Whiltow of Summersville, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 26, with burial in the Perkins Cemetery. Rev. Otis Clell Skaggs officiated.
Pallbearers were Ralph Stearman, Paul Stearman, R. T. Stearman, Morris Wayne Wright and Jeff McAfee.
